About the event

IDPD 2024 Theme:
Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future

What is International Day of Persons with Disabilities?

Every year, on December 3rd, we commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day dedicated to acknowledging the struggles, achievements, and contributions of individuals with disabilities worldwide. Instituted by the United Nations in 1992, this day serves as a platform to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. We move to come together to learn about and work together to remove barriers.

But What are Barriers?
